Before this weekend, I'll be releasing a lot of updates and sharing a ton of new features so would love to get your feedback so I can improve on what I'm doing so far.
Right now, I'm not using StockGPT because I'm not sure if the results are up-to-date. The last time I used it, the data was almost a month old. It'd be great if we could easily see when the data is from. But once that's fixed, I think it's gonna be a pretty cool product!
For free users, at least, there's no way to get notified if one of the stocks in our portfolio is "sell".
I'm considering writing something that scrapes your spreadsheet and returns back the current status of my holdings since no such alert capability exists
This is an incredible feedback. I think having a way to enter your portfolio and get back all the stocks with their rating could be immensely powerful so that’s the plan for this weekend to be built
i wrote my own last night but it just scrapes your URLs and downloads them as a CSV value for me to process on my own pc., now i'm working with etrade api to download my etrade portfolio to run this against. woo!
so, the hard part for me was learning how to map the colorings to be emotionally accurate, including an [almost]-inversion for shorted stocks, as well as mapping your AI algo scores to an emotional color (ha!)
(I'm more of a console programmer because I'm old.)
For what it's worth, all my stocks with a quantity of 1, or a negative quantity, are ones i bought via your daily spreadsheets. The rest are my past poor decisions. (Though I did make $23K on NVAX and MRNA in 2020-2021, I bought back in and lost it all since.)
This is great, glad to see someone putting a effort into the work to consumer the work that I’m put out and my whole purpose is for people to objectively evaluate what I’m sharing
I'm really doing this more to learn python than to learn investment, I actually consistently lose money in stocks and own a $31K portfolio that is at 56% loss
This is another big reason why I built this because I want people to objectively evaluate risk with every investment. In a way you can answer a question like if you are looking to make a 400% return know you can lose 90% of your investment
I get the spreadsheet, but what is one meant to do with the chat bot?
> I'm sorry, I cannot predict the future movements of a stock. However, based on the current real-time information, as of today, $TSLA is ranked #74 out of 4762 total stocks by our AI Engine with an AI Algo Score of 1068 which gives this stock an AI Algo Prediction Rating of FAIR PRICE. It seems to just be a pointer back over to the spreadsheet ...
WRT the spreadsheet. What is the time horizon for which a stock is recommended a buy? I see you've mentioned medium term (3 months) in some posts, is that the horizon its looking out?
The chatbot answers all the questions found in the spreadsheet but really the best way to use the product is via the spreadsheet so you can see a snapshot at a glance and get data for comparing each stock with one another.
Yes, the chatbot does point back to the spreadsheet since the spreadsheet is update more often and chatbot is very slow to update with latest data (we are working on this)
Yes, the time horizon to hold is typically 1-3 months as how we have done the backtesting of outperformance. This is typically how it has worked out but the way we have actually done our backtesting is to based on a 10% swing of the market in up or down directions and we have seen our recommendations outperforming.
I know it maybe a bit confusing and I apologize for that but I will be working the next few days to make it all make more sense with an onboarding document that breaks everything down :)
No, I don’t believe in price targets for a particular stock as we advice for buying a diversified collection of stocks and sell the diversified collection when the market gets overbought. Setting price targets most often means you hold on to your losers and sell out of winnings early

Starting today or at least before this weekend, i’ll do a big update on all everything chatbot
Include additional asset classes such as Futures and Forex
Thank you for this, definitely on the roadmap and will work on options this weekend and will hit this ASAP

I did this with Interactive brokers last night after reading your comment and will work on a seamless way of doing this
How many stocks/etfs do you typically have in your portfolio?
