A couple months back you had alot of stocks listed as strong buy or buy in the 9 and 10 range if i remember correctly. Now, they are only ranked as 1-4.
Yes, we modified the algo because in most market conditions the 9 and 10s rated as a buy or strong buy would do well but in a bear market, those would hurt just as much so we added 2 new categories which is "oversold/high risk" and "overbought/low risk"... to filter out noise that could potentially be a high risk stocks. We realized that there will always be more than enough great opportunities so why showcase opportunities that has the potential to be risky... if you look at our Options list, we are getting even less risky and further distilling down to risk score of 1-2 and "strong buy" and 9-10 on the "strong sell/short" list and the performance you can see of that is even more outstanding.
Thank you for this thoughtful question and I'm glad to see that you have been following from the start.
I hesitate to offer this one because everyone is likely to have their own opinion, but have a target price listed that the algo pinpoints would be an interesting dimension to track over time... how accurate is the target predication for major inflections in individual securities, and how does that target move over time.
I like to buy stocks and sell covered calls. Can you use GPT to tell me which stocks are a strong buy and have the best premium(30 days out) based on dividend+premium / Stock price = % ROI?
There are many variables here so i dont think this would be a simple GPT answer. A simple way you could do this is just sell covered calls on the stock that has some of the highest dividend
I still have the old list of strong buy 9-10 from a couple months ago. Still get quite a few winners from that list. bxrx was on your original list over $1 and dropped to .48. on friday, went to 1.43 for 125% gain. there are other stock ratings that just don't make sense. IPX rated as sell/short #8 rating. that stock dropped from 18.57 on 6/13 to 7.29 on 6/30.
i have been filtering out the stocks that are rated extremely oversold and oversold/high risk rated 7-10 because alot of these stocks are down because of the nonstop shorting in this market everyday. what i have to look up from other sources (e.g. trading view, american bulls, etc) are the ratings on these stocks. Some of these stocks are listed as strong buy on trading view. I just think it would be very helpful to add in some other metric that shows the stock is a good one despite it being oversold. Maybe profitability, 52 week low, etc. something. I used to look at stocks with very low RSI's (under 20) that were near 52 week or all time low. These were stocks that used to go up but none of that matters now. Joe Biden has made this stock market terrible and shorts are in everything/everyday. It's a matter of how to beat the shorts because only select stocks will move up. Generally, there is no reason at all for the movement.
A simple usability improvement would be to add a filter line to row 22 so that people can easily filter the results to just the categories they want (e.g. Strong Buy and Risk <> 2,4. People can apply their own temp filter, but having it already in place would be a time saver.
To solve for this is much harder than i expected so I may need to come back to this a little later... I will work on a solution for it. Right now google sheet is also a temporary solution overtime all this data will be on the main stockgpt website with all the search and filter capabilities.
If you select all cells from a22 to L10522, go to Data drop down, and click filter view and create temporary filtered view. You'll be able to filter right on google sheets and sort things the way you want. Hope this saves you some time. Thanks

By the way, i've had some good success with stocks that are listed as "not yet rated". I look at these everyday to see if they are moving.

I'm on it, I wanted to create something like this and kinda left it in the middle. Let me see what I can do to make it more seamless
i export the results to excel and do all the filters there.
